In accordance with the article 46 of the Electoral code of Turkmenistan, on February 18, 2022, the candidates for the Presidential Elections of Turkmenistan, which will be held on March 12, 2022, were nominated by the citizens’ suggestion groups. Chief physician of "Avaza" sanatorium of the ministry of Health and medical industry of Turkmenistan, the member of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanov Berdimammet Hanmammedovich and Begenjov Perhat Guvanchgulievich, director of the Lebap velayat financial and economic secondary school was nominated.
Meetings of the citizens' suggestion groups for nomination was held in the conference hall of the cultural and sports complex of the Turkmenbashi oil refinery complex, as well as in the conference hall of the Lebap velayat hakimlik.
The meeting was attended by members of the citizens' suggestion groups and members of the media.
To this day, two candidates have been nominated by the citizens' suggestion groups.
