Elections for members of the Halk Maslahaty, as well as elections to replace the early drop out of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of the Halk Maslahaty and Gengeshes will be held in the newly formed etraps of the country

In accordance with articles 4, 85 and 87 of the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, the resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan dated January 7, 2026 determined:

To hold elections of members of the Halk Maslahaty in the Altyn Asyr etrap of the Ahal velayat, in the Garashsyzlyk, Gubadag etraps of the Dashoguz velayat, in the Dovletli, Farap, Garabekevul etraps of the Lebap velayat, in the Oguzhan etrap of the Mary velayat, as well as in connection with the early drop out of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan in electoral districts №74 «Amyderýa» and №79 «Darganata» of the Lebap velayat, №104 «Peşanaly» and №106 «Wekil» of the Mary velayat. Elections to replace the drop out of Mejlis deputies, as well as members of velayat, etrap and city of Halk Maslahaty and Gengeshes, scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2026.
