A new Law has entered into force

On June 28, 2025, the Law of Turkmenistan «On the Unified State Register of Voters» was adopted. The law entered into force on January 1, 2026.

Thus, this law, which entered into force on January 1 of the year under the motto «Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses» clearly demonstrates the beginning of a new stage in the development of the country’s electoral system.

During the year, in accordance with the approved plan, appropriate work will be carried out in stages to create groups that will ensure the maintenance of the Unified State Register of Voters and the Unified State Register of Voters database.
