As it is well-known, the elections of members of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan to be known as a representative body exercising legislative power is scheduled for March 28 of this year. In this regard, the nomination process continues under the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan in an organized and active manner.
An unlimited number of nominees for membership in the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh are been actively under discussion. High-profile, hard-working and well-organized people are nominated as a candidate. It is noteworthy that among the nominees, there are experienced professionals who are working in various sectors of our national economy.
Thus, the ongoing season for nominating candidates for membership to Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh stands as clear evidence of the continued expansion and strengthening of democratic principles in the society of our Turkmen state.
To date, 99 candidates for the 48 mandates of members of Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh have been nominated by members of the velayat, etrap, and town halk maslahaty. Number of nominated candidates are: Ahal velayat 18, Balkan velayat 17, Dashoguz velayat 17, Lebap velayat 18, Mary velayat 15, Ashgabat city 14.
