Resolution of the Halk Maslahaty

On the organization of the first election of the members of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan and on carrying out organizational work related to the establishment of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan

To further deepen the democratic reforms in Turkmenistan in connection with the adoption of the Constitutional Law of Turkmenistan «On Amendments and Additions to the Constitution of Turkmenistan», Halk Maslahaty concludes:

1. «On Amendments and Additions to the Constitution of Turkmenistan» amendments and additions to the laws of Turkmenistan and other regulatory legal acts related to the adoption of the Constitutional Law of Turkmenistan, the termination of the Halk Maslahaty and its transition to the bicameral parliamentary system to be completed by January 1, 2021.

2. The first election of the members of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan must be held on the last Sunday of March 2021 and to carry out relevant organizational work in this regard.

3. To entrust the organizational work related to the establishment of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan to Mejlis of Turkmenistan.
