The annual celebration of Defenders of the Fatherland Day on January 27 in our peaceful Motherland, under the wise leadership of our esteemed President testifies to the enormous trust, boundless respect and concern for the brave sons of our Armed Forces, who defend the Independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order of our state.
During in the era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, our national army became a school of patriotism and courage, continuing and refining the peaceful, humane principles of our brave ancestors, military traditions and military art of war that had developed over the centuries-long history of our people. The large-scale military reforms initiated by Hero Arkadag and worthily continued under the wise leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar are acquiring a broader amplitude.
The history of our Armed Forces – the National Army of Turkmenistan, whose combat and humanitarian training is constantly being improved in accordance with the unshakable principles of the state’s peaceful foreign policy, based on the legal status of permanent Neutrality and a strictly defensive Military Doctrine, inextricably linked with the history of the Independent Turkmen state. After all, with the country’s Independence, the most important long-awaited dream of our wise poet Makhtumkuli Fragi came true and in the very first years of this glorious era of revival for the Turkmen people important steps were taken to create our own National Army.
In the early years of Independence, providing the structural units of the Armed Forces with domestic specialists and strengthening its material-technical base were among the main and most important tasks. Extensive work in this area and military reforms were implemented consistently and successfully.
The basis of the reforms being carried out in this area – is the training of military personnel and law enforcement officers, who are loyal to our brave people, our Motherland, Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, physically healthy, morally impeccable and skilled in their professions. Our Armed Forces – created after we gained Independence, have become more sophisticated over the past 34 years and have transformed into a powerful army.
In a short period of history, the professional training of the defenders of the Motherland, vigilantly serving in our Armed Forces has improved and corresponding educational levels have been developed. Currently, the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan, the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Institute of National Security, the Border Institute, the Naval Institute and the Naval School established on its basis are all operating, training our country’s military specialists. The Armed Forces of Turkmenistan – are an unshakable fortress and steel shield of our Independent Motherland.
Based on the exemplary personal example of Hero Arkadag, all conditions are being created to ensure that military personnel are physically healthy and spiritually uplifted. Throughout their ancient and glorious history, the Turkmen people have demonstrated outstanding military heroism, fighting for the prosperity, peace and freedom of their people and their sacred land. Defending the Motherland – is a sacred duty, embodying courage, bravery and fearlessness, which are above all else and noble qualities inherent to the Turkmen people.
The material-technical base of our country’s military and law enforcement agencies are being strengthened and military potential of our National Army is increasing. Living and working conditions for military personnel, law enforcement officers and their families are constantly improving.
May the valiant path of the fearless, brave Turkmen officers and young patriotic soldiers, who stand in the sacred defense of our Fatherland be eternal and glorious! We wish our National Leader of the Turkmen People Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who are implementing a far-sighted and humane policy aimed at ensuring the sovereignty and peace of our Independent, permanently Neutral Motherland and a bright future for our generations, health, longevity and success in their endeavors!
